Summer School 2013
Sign ups are: Monday, July 1st through Wednesday, July 3rd and on Friday, July 5th from 8am to 12pm.
Classes run from Monday, July 8th thru Friday, July 26th
Any parent interested in signing their child up for summer school should print and fill out the Summer School Application.The cost for Scituate residents is $140 per course; $150 for non-residents per course.
Students and parents should read through the Summer School Rules 2013.
The Scituate School Department is offering classes in the following areas for the summer of 2013:
English 9-10, English 11-12, Algebra I and II, Introduction to Algebra I and II, Introduction to Geometry, Geometry, U.S. History, Modern World History, Physical Science, Biology, Spanish I/II, Physical Education and Health 9-12
All remedial courses listed above run for thirty hours, two hours per day beginning July 8 and ending July 26. Physical Education for high school will run for a total of 15 hours. The curriculum and activities for each course are coordinated with the department chairperson for the particular area in conjunction with the Summer School Director. Courses will only run if there is sufficient enrollment. Additional courses may be added if needed.
Session One runs from 8:00 until 10:00; Session Two runs from 10:05 to 12:00. Classes will be scheduled based on enrollment. Some classes may not run as a result.
Payment is due at the time of sign-ups and must be returned with a signed policy form by both the student and parent/guardian.
